Enclosed Carriers

Enclosed carriers offer a maximum security for all cars transported within, it uses hard canvas or metal walls to enclose cars inside and safeguard them from weather, road conditions, and any other hazardous situation that may damage the cars during transit.

These carriers are more expensive than open carriers, however the extra bucks are compensated for the great protection. These carriers are used mainly to ship classics, sports cars, convertibles, and high end luxurious cars. Repairing damages for these cars can be very costly, and all though covered by insurance, costs can be very high.

Open Carriers

Open carriers are the most common type of carriers in the industry, they can haul from one to 11 cars at once. It is very likely that everyone has seen an open carrier as they can be as small as a local tow truck to as big as an 18 wheeler.

Open carriers ar less costly than enclosed carriers and don't protect cars at  its fullest so it is possible at times for cars to get damages or small dents due to heavy weather or bad road conditions, such as bumpy roads or flying rocks. This is not an issue as cars cvered completely during transit in case of any damage or loss.

Motorcycle Shipping

Motorcycles have grown in popularity in the past years and every day more and more bikes are transported from place to another, whether it comes frm a private owner, a dealer, show cse or a rally, these vehicles get great attention in the industry.

Motorcycles can be shipped via enclosed or open carriers, although is 100% recommended to ship via enclosed to safety issues it is not a rule. Some carriers may refuse taking bikes on an open carrier to avoid any inconvenient so it is important you chck with your agent the options you have before hand.
